How to add Supadesk to Ghost

Ghost is built for publishing — blogs, newsletters, and member sites. This guide shows you how to add the Supadesk AI chat widget to Ghost through Site Footer code injection, putting the widget on every published post and page so readers can ask questions while they browse.

Before you start

  1. In Supadesk, open your agent and click Chat Widget.
  2. Click Copy Embed Code.
  3. (Recommended) Add your Ghost site URL to Allowed Origins — e.g. https://yourblog.com.

Install on Ghost

  1. In Ghost admin, go to Settings → Code injection.
  2. Paste your Supadesk embed script into the Site Footer field.
  3. Click Save.

Ghost tip

You only need the Site Footer field — not Site Header. The footer injection loads on all public posts, pages, and the homepage automatically.

Check it works

Open a published post and your homepage in a private browser window. The chat bubble should appear in the bottom-right corner on both.

Troubleshooting

  • Widget missing: Confirm you saved Site Footer (not only Site Header) and are viewing a published URL, not the admin preview.
  • Widget blocked: Add your exact site origin (including https://) to Allowed Origins in Supadesk.

FAQ

Where do I paste Supadesk in Ghost?

Paste the Supadesk embed script in Ghost admin under Settings, Code injection, Site Footer. Site Footer loads the chat widget across public posts, pages, and the homepage.

Use Site Footer for Supadesk. The widget does not need to load before page content, and footer injection is the safer site-wide placement for a chat script.

Does Supadesk appear on Ghost member-only posts?

Supadesk loads where Ghost renders the site footer and the visitor’s browser is allowed to run the script. Test a published member page while logged in if you need to confirm member-only visibility.
