How to add Supadesk to WordPress

WordPress powers blogs, business sites, and landing pages. This guide shows you how to add the Supadesk AI chat widget to WordPress with a site-wide footer script, so the widget appears on posts, pages, and archives without editing your theme’s PHP files directly.

Before you start

  1. In Supadesk, open your agent and click Chat Widget.
  2. Click Copy Embed Code.
  3. (Recommended) Add your WordPress site URL to Allowed Origins — e.g. https://yoursite.com.

Install on WordPress

  1. In WordPress admin, go to Plugins → Add New.
  2. Search for WPCode (or Insert Headers and Footers) and install and activate it.
  3. Go to Code Snippets → Header & Footer (WPCode) or Settings → Insert Headers and Footers.
  4. Paste your Supadesk embed script into the Footer section.
  5. Click Save Changes.

WordPress tip

A header/footer plugin keeps your embed code intact when you switch themes. Editing footer.php directly works too, but you’ll need to re-add the script after a theme change.

Check it works

Open your live site in a private browser window. The chat bubble should appear in the bottom-right corner on your homepage and on a blog post or page.

Troubleshooting

  • Widget missing: Confirm the script is in the Footer section (not Header only) and that caching plugins have been cleared.
  • Widget blocked: Add your exact site origin (including https://) to Allowed Origins in Supadesk.
